Just like Cinderella, all your dreams can come true at this year’s Beacon panto! All roads lead to the palace and the Royal Ball, via the Enchanted Forest… but of course, nothing is ever that simple.
Cinderella longs to escape her life of drudgery and find the happiness she deserves. And if true love comes along as part of the package - well, that’s panto, isn’t it? Waiting in the Beacon wings is our very own Prince Charming - a reluctant royal who simply wants to meet an ordinary girl who will love him for who he is, not what he is. What could possibly go wrong?
Plenty!
Determined to ruin Cinderella’s chances are her deliciously dastardly stepmother, Demonica Hardup, and her two dim-witted daughters, Sadie and Senga - surely the strangest siblings this side of Skelmorlie. Their plan? To sink their grubby paws into Prince Charming, his riches… and his crown jewels!
Luckily, Cinderella has help on her side. Her Fairy Godmother is ready with a magic wand - although her spells have a habit of going hilariously wrong. Thankfully, Cinders also has her loyal bestie Buttons, always on her side with a cheerful “Hiya pals!” and a quick-fire comeback to save the day.
So… will Cinderella make it to the ball? Will her dreams come true?
Well, it’s The Beacon panto, so… oh yes they will! ✨
